Rae is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor she is supervised by Camille Bien LMFT 14479. She specializes in treating panic disorders, ADHD, OCD and intergenerational trauma in individuals, couples and families. Your community needs you more than you think. You also need you! Is there a part of you that feels confused, alone or scared from your past experiences? The truth is, it is difficult to be there for your family, friends or even yourself when you’re stuck in survival mode. Rae is compassionate about helping your brain, body and mind heal from the past, so you can live a life that is truly yours!
Rae’s practice is built on the understanding that healing happens when we honor both the mind and the body. Rae incorporates DBT, ACT, Adlerian principles and IFS to help you feel like your amazing self again! When trauma remains unprocessed, it functions like a virus in a computer, draining your battery and slowing down every other function. You may experience sudden bursts of anger, deep sadness, or intense anxiety that feel disproportionate to the current situation. Living in a state of chronic stress places a heavy load on the body, which can lead to a weakened immune system, sleep disturbances, and physical exhaustion. Ultimately, unresolved trauma often creates a rift between yourself and your body. You might feel like every day is the same as the other. Believe it or not, your nervous system wants to help you relieve the stress you’re holding onto. Therapy serves as a guide to help you heal. Rae brings expertise in somatic processing, other trauma techniques, Eastern meditative practices (i.e. taichi and qigong) and other evidence-based interventions so that you can live an authentic, meaningful and joyful life.
