We work collaboratively to explore how core wounds live not only in the mind, but in the body. Trauma informed therapy focuses on increasing awareness of how past experiences shape present emotional, psychological, and physical patterns, allowing for deeper healing that goes beyond words alone.

Together, we work to gently understand these patterns and support your nervous system in developing new experiences of safety, choice, and regulation. Through somatic and evidence-based approaches, therapy becomes a space to restore connection, build resilience, and move toward a more grounded and integrated sense of self.

You appear capable, thoughtful, and high-functioning to the rest of the world. You manage your responsibilities, show up for others, and carry on; but inside, everything feels significantly harder than it should. You might feel a persistent sense of "wrongness," a deep seated exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix, or a confusing disconnect from your own body. This isn't a character flaw or a personal failure; it is the physiological result of a nervous system that has been stuck in survival mode for too long.

When we experience complex or attachment-based trauma, our bodies are forced to adapt. If you grew up in an environment where your emotional needs weren't met or where safety felt conditional, your nervous system developed "survival maps" to protect you. Today, those maps might manifest as perfectionism, self-sabotage, chronic "people-pleasing," or an inability to feel fully present in your relationships. You might cycle between intense anxiety (hyperarousal) and emotional numbness or "checking out" (dissociation), feeling like a passenger in your own life.

In our work together, we move beyond traditional talk therapy to address the root of these patterns. Because trauma lives in the body, logic alone isn't enough to heal it. Using somatic therapy and evidence-informed, body-based approaches, we gently explore the connection between your past experiences and your current physical sensations. We don't just talk about the "why"; we work directly with nervous system regulation to help your system learn—at a cellular level—that the danger has passed.

Healing isn't about fixing something "broken" rather it's about restoring your capacity for safety and connection. We work with curiosity and compassion to understand how your system learned to protect you, eventually allowing those defenses to soften. The goal is to develop a new, grounded relationship with yourself, where you feel more integrated, resilient, and able to move through the world with a sense of ease and agency.

You don’t have to carry the weight of your past alone. If you are ready to explore a path toward healing that honors both your mind and your body’s wisdom, I am here to support you. Let’s work together to help your nervous system find its way back to a state of peace.
